Cookies

Stop what you are doing and make these.....
They melt in your mouth! I made these a lot when we were first married, Rod loves shortbread. It's a little different now making them w/ kids, but they still taste the same!

Berry Shortbread Dreams (Taste of Home)

1 cup butter (no substitutes)

2/3 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. almond extract

2 c. flour

1/3 cup-1/2 cup seedless raspberry jelly

GLAZE:

1 cup 10x

2 - 3 tsp. water

1/2 tsp. almond extract

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in extract; gradually add flour until dough forms a ball. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheets. Using the end of a wooden spoon handle (or your finger:) make an indentation in the center. Fill with jelly. Bake at 350 for 14-18 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Spoon additional jelly into cookies if desired. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over cookies.
