Indoor Play

Someone should write a book on what to do with kids indoors during the winter months. (maybe someone already has!?!) The boys have been pretty good, but sometimes they just want something exciting to do!
we were given grapefruit in these boxes, that the twins crawl in and i push them around the kitchen and around the table. they love it, but it sure is exhausting for me!
Ben's reaction to "make a silly face!"........

....and brad's reaction to "make a silly face".....

Adam brought me his 'garden tools' the other week and said "MOM, what can i dig??" it was cute. i thought with 9 degree weather, he probably wouldn't have much fun digging in the mulch outside, so i whipped out some macoronis and put them in a big container. He was good for 15 minutes of digging :)

If the boys get too bored, they just sit on each other.....

Any other suggestions for indoor play??

Hi Sherry,

You could try drawing at the table with either shaving cream (perfectly safe and cleans up very easily) or pudding (tasty, but definately messier). I've only done shaving cream, but my kids love it!

Looks like you're doing a great job and already being creative!

make a little indoor playground. my boys love that. i put the pillows on the floor from the couch and let them jump into them and then i take one of the board inserts from our big kitchen table and make it into a slide of sorts. somehow they always end up taking their clothes off and jumping in their underwear/diaper!! oh well, it gets a lot of energy out and that's the key! i am so excited for springtime!
happy playing!
